Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley are one of the top places to go for September sightseeing! Take a drive up Taylor Canyon to the Taylor Reservoir and enjoy the dramatic rock cliffs and the stunning river views or go on a horseback ride to one of the many road-less Wilderness Areas
Take a walking tour of the main historic buildings and districts in Gunnison and Crested Butte and see the beautiful historic structures that still remain to this day!
Early Fall is the best time of year to go sightseeing for wildlife. This time of year animals are more active as they look towards the coming winter. Large herds of elk and mule deer roam the valley in anticipation of the rut. Bears are easily spotted in and around town. Not to mention this is one of the best places in Gunnison County to spot bighorn sheep
