October in Crested Butte

The white peaks contrasting with the golden leaves are stunning; every fall, I’m amazed at how beautiful our valley is. The recent mountaintop snowfall reminds us we won’t have to wait long for the ski season to begin!

Market Conditions

New listings are down 34% and under contracts are down 26%. We currently have $117M under contract. Months supply of inventory in Crested Butte, Skyland, and CB South is 2.1 (if no new listings come on the market, in 2.1 months, inventory would be at zero). Months supply of inventory in Mt Crested Butte is 2.2.

Although we are still in a seller’s market, I have seen more price reductions, and some listings are staying on the market longer before going under contract. With limited inventory, more and more buyers have decided to buy land and build. Land sales are at an all-time high, with an 800% increase in the number of sales.

There is no reason to hesitate to book your trip to Crested Butte today!
