Watercolor and Wine – Oct 1st, 15th, and 29th. Join one class or all of them.
Debate Watch Series– Oct 7th, 15th, and 27th. Join the Center and the Crested Butte Public Policy Forum and watch the debates at the Center’s Outdoor Courtyard, drink served.
Cooking with Carolyn– October 20th at the Center for the Arts.
Chili and Beer Festival (Virtual) – Starting October 1st, order your at home Chili and Beer kits and vote by the end of the week.
Market Conditions
Real estate continues to be busy. New listings are up 40% and under contracts are up 220%. We currently have $133M under contract. 2020 sales have already surpassed total sales for 2019. Other Colorado resort communities are seeing strong sales as well. I believe this trend will continue as more people are working from home. Buyers may be wondering if now is the time to buy. I believe Crested Butte has the best value and best bang for your buck out of the resort communities. When compared to Aspen, Telluride, and Vail, we are still a fraction of the price. If we fast forward a few years, those that purchased now will be happy they did.

Vail Resorts Update
Ski passes are still on sale! New this year, Vail resorts will implement a reservation system. Each pass holder can reserve 7 spots throughout the ski season and no limits on week-of reservations. Crested Butte has always been less crowded than other Colorado ski resorts, it’s my hope this reservation system won’t affect us too much.
