November in Crested Butte

October ended with a huge snowstorm, bringing in over 20 inches of snow. Most of the snow will melt down low, but our peaks should stay snowy, giving us a great start to the upcoming ski season. Crested Butte Mountain Resort opens on November 22nd. Until then, enjoy the slower pace during the last of our off-season.

Market Conditions

Both new listings and under-contracts are up by 15% and 22%, respectively. Months supply of inventory is at 8 for Crested Butte and 9 for Mt. Crested Butte (if no new homes came on the market, in 8 or 9 months, inventory would be at zero). I’m seeing more price reductions and a lower list to sales price; now is a great time to purchase. Rental income continues to be strong, making your mountain home a great investment.
