Market Conditions

New listings are down 16%, and under-contracts are up 75%. Months supply of inventory is at 4 (if no new homes came on the market, in 4 months, inventory would be at zero). We are moving to a Buyer’s market, with more options and negotiations on the sales price. For those that sat on the sidelines during the 2020 and 2021 frenzy, this is a great time to get into the market. For those concerned about interest rates, there are many rate buy-down options to make it more affordable. Please reach out for more information.

Vail Resorts Update

March Spring Break here we go! The mountain is open from 9 am to 4 pm daily. Visit here for more info on Lift & Terrain openings and closures. So far, we have gotten 226” of snow this season, and more to come! The visitor forecast shows numbers steadily increasing this month. For more details, please visit the Gunnison Crested Butte Travel website.

Want to get away from the crowds? Try some of these other winter activities!

Fat Biking: Fat bikes do very well on snow because of their wide footprint and extremely low tire pressure. Explore one of Gunnison’s greatest gems, the Hartman Rocks!
Nordic Skiing: The Gunnison-Crested Butte area is a winter wonderland for nordic skiing. Click HERE for the list of nordic ski routes that you can explore!
Snowshoeing: Snowshoeing shares a lot of simplicity with hiking; a good pair of shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are all you really need. Tap HERE to view some of the best snowshoeing trails in Gunnison.
