The town of Crested Butte is bustling with visitors, and the mountainsides are covered in wildflowers. We are so happy to be back enjoying the warm weather, trails, and lakes with our community.

July Happenings

Pinnacle Mountain Bike Race Series – July 2nd-23rd. Beginner to expert competitors take on this bike race.

Mt Crested Butte Fireworks – July 2nd. A wonderful firework celebration that lights up the mountain.

47th Annual Pancake Breakfast – July 4th. It’s back – a CB 4th of July classic. Enjoy pancakes while supporting the Fallen Firefighter Fund.

Parade Down Elk Avenue – July 4th. A fun and funky parade – Crested Butte knows how to do parades!

Historic Walking Tour – July 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Meet at the Mountain Heritage Museum and immerse yourself in Crested Butte’s history.

Wildflower Festival – July 9th-18th. Register for one or many of this festivals events in the “wildflower capital of Colorado.”

Starry Evening Gala – July 10th. Enjoy delicious food, live music, and a silent auction to raise money for land conservancy.

Sunday’s Farmer’s Market – July 11th, 18th, and 25th. Every Sunday at the end of Elk Ave.

Alpenglow Concert Series – July 12th, 19th, & 26th. Free outdoor summer concert series at Crested Butte Center for the Arts.

Wine Tasting for the Old Rock Library – July 15th. Sip on handpicked wines from sommelier Aaron Tomcak.

Caddis Cup Fly Fishing Tournament – July 17th. The Land Trust benefits include a guided fishing trip and food prepared by Crested Butte Personal Chefs.

Wine and Food Festival – July 19th-25th. Foodie and wine lover – this is your event!

Grin and Bear It – July 24th. Volunteer or participate in this race with a 15k or 25.7k option.

Wild Mushroom Festival – July 29th-Aug 1st. Enjoy wine and mushroom workshops and a jazz concert.

49th Crested Butte Arts Festival – July 30th-Aug 1st. Venture to the Crested Butte Community School for an art-filled weekend.

Yonder Mountain String Band @ I Bar Ranch – July 30th. Live music performance by a renowned bluegrass band.

The Another Brothers @ Mt. CB Wedding Garden – July 31st. Live music performance.

Market Conditions

New listings are down 26% and under contracts are down 9%. We currently have $107M under contract. Months supply of inventory in Crested Butte, Skyland, and CB South is 2.3 (if no new listings come on the market, in 2.3 months, inventory would be at zero). Months supply of inventory in Mt Crested Butte is 2.1. Inventory is very low. Again the question keeps coming up…are we in a bubble. Most experts say no. If you have already planned your trip, we recommend taking the scenic chair lift ride up the Silver Queen lift to Mt. Crested Butte’s peak. If you enjoy mountain biking, the bike park accessible by the Red Lady Lift bike haul is a must-do!
