February Happenings
The Greatest Story You’ll Ever Tell – Feb 15th – Feb 28th. Participate in this writing workshop with an emphasis on dramatic works.
Stroll down Gunnison’s main street and shop local. Gunnison-Crested Butte’s charming main streets may surprise you on your first visit. You’ll find locally-owned shops to cater to most of your needs, so wander on down Elk Ave or Main Street and check out the shopping offerings.
Local Spotlight – The Gunnisack – a place that locals and out of towners gather to grab grub. Its doors opened in 2004, with the owner’s vision of creating a place that “preserves the friendly small-town charm that is Gunnison.” Make sure to leave room for dessert at this quintessential Gunnison establishment.
Market Conditions
New listings are down 63% and under contracts are down 44%. We currently have $15M under contract. Months supply of inventory is 1.5 (if no new listings come on the market, in 1.8 months inventory would be at zero). Inventory is very low, which explains why under contracts are down. As a Seller, now is a great time to sell.

Vail Resorts Update
The end of January finally delivered much-anticipated snow falls on Mount Crested Butte. All but two ski lifts are operating and awaiting your arrival. There are many discounts to be aware of if you plan on traveling to Crested Butte soon. Once your travel is booked, you won’t want to wait to reserve your lift tickets, especially for a busy President’s Day weekend. The weather report is the best resource to locals and visitors in determining which day they should hit the slopes.
