The Crested Butte Farmers Market is dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture and farm-to-consumer sales within Crested Butte.  The Crested Butte Farmers Market offers organic and certified naturally grown vegetables, fruits and herbs, pasture-raised and grass-finished meats, wild-caught fish, artisanal cheese, breads, jams, jellies, and pickles as well as an assortment of locally produced arts and crafts.

The Crested Butte Farmer’s Market is a fantastic way to get the freshest produce and often at more affordable prices. Swing by close to the opening time to get the best selection and avoid most crowds. Many of the popular items will sell out mid-way through the day, but if you arrive near closing time you might score a great deal on any items still left

Be sure to bring your own sturdy, reusable bags for easy handling of any bulky items.

Products in Farmer’s Market

Every farm and ranch at the Farmers Market are required to adhere to strict growing practices. All foods must be produced within 100 miles of the town, and concessions and prepared foods are required to be local/organic.

Farms

Farmers in growing of premium flowers, organic vegetables, fruit, and herbs. Also available at farmer’s family farm, through our CSA, fine restaurants, and local farmers’ markets.

 

Ranches (meat, milk, butterfish, etc.)

It requires that all produce be certified organic or certified naturally grown, that all meats, eggs and animal foods be pasture-raised and grass-fed.

 

Farmstead Products

From fruit growers in Colorado and produce certified organic cherries, peaches, plums, pears, apples, heirloom tomatoes and small berries. To processed fruit into jams, jars of butter, dried fruits, apple sauces, and pie slices.

Value-added Products

Value-added agricultural products (e.g. bread, pastries, canned goods, processed meats etc.) must be processed within a 100-mile radius of Crested Butte though they may contain ingredients from other locations. All ingredients should be sourced within Colorado or should be USDA certified organic.

 

Concessions

Food service items intended for consumption at the market such as those that derive from temporary food service establishments (e.g. restaurant style booths, food carts etc.) are permitted for sale.

 

Non-Food Products

The Crested Butte Farmers Market is dedicated to promoting sustainable agriculture and farm-to-consumer sales within Crested Butte.  Come check out the wide assortment of local produce, artisanal goods, nd handmade crafts!

 

Non-Profit

In keeping with the market’s goal of building community within Crested Butte, CBFM offers booth space to non-profit and community-service oriented organizations.
