Biery Witt Center at Mt. Crested Butte

I am sure you saw the huge, white tent in the parking lot near the Grand Lodge this past summer. And if not, I imagine you have noticed the new concrete parking structure. This is the future home site of the Biery Witt center at Mt. Crested Butte; a performing arts, conventions, and events center.

The time is NOW – Bringing the Vision to Reality

Biery Witt Center at Mt. Crested Butte

Imagine a performing arts, conventions, and events center framed in the beauty of Mt. Crested Butte. One that is revered by musicians and theatre groups not only for its mountain setting but for its acoustics and perforamance capabilities, all designed to showcase their talents like only the best performance halls can do.

The Biery-Witt Center at Mt. Crested Butte is being designed as a multi-purpose mountain venue for performance arts and events, with more than 50% non-performance related activities. It will be a place for inspirational performances, community gatherings, convention/conference groups from throughout Colorado and beyond; weddings, events, a place of learning and so much more… The Biery-Witt Center at Mt. Crested Butte will be a significant “game changer” – aesthetically, artistically and economically – and is designed to serve the needs of the Upper Gunnison Valley for generations to come. It will provide a permanent home for the ever-expanding Crested Butte Music Festival. It will attract touring artists of greater excellence and notoriety than those Crested Butte currently can accommodate without significant financial guarantee. Its spaces will benefit Western State Colorado University, Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory and the Gunnison School District students and faculty.
