Annual Crested Butte Arts Festival
Downtown Crested Butte, Colorado, is home to one of the nation’s top arts festivals. The Crested Butte Arts Festival features incredible art, fantastic cuisine, exhilarating entertainment, artist demonstrations, chef demonstrations, children’s activities and an art auction. There’s something for everyone at the Festival, where surrounding beauty, artistic talent, and appreciative patrons merge for one, glorious 3-day event.
The Crested Butte Arts Festival produces an annual, nationally recognized Festival presenting a broad spectrum of the arts, whose proceeds perpetuate the Festival and also provide for year-round, sustainable arts outreach programs for the community of the Gunnison Valley.
The charming and eclectic town of Crested Butte, a National Historic District, is the venue for this outdoor show. Admission and parking are free and entertainment, children’s programs, and hands-on workshops are scheduled throughout the weekend. Truly one of the industry’s best kept secrets, the Crested Butte Arts Festival must be experienced to be believed!
HIGHLIGHTS
Artist Demonstrations provide a unique way to interact with some of our exhibiting artists in an informal setting. These interactive and engaging demos will again be incorporated into the Festival’s schedule in 2018 and will take place in each artists booth.
Art Auction. The 2018 Festival will include an Art Auction featuring original works of art in all media donated by participating artists. The Art Auction Booth will be prominently located on the Festival grounds.
Art Alley. Time to roll up your sleeves, paint with abandon and release your inner artist inside Art Alley! Thanks to the creative energy of Art Alley Chairwoman Lynda Mikos, children, and their caregivers can make inspired and imaginative keepsakes for FREE!
Culinary Court. Centrally located within the festival grounds is the Culinary Court, featuring delectable fare from many fine Crested Butte restaurants as well as out-of-town vendors.
